FT-Token
We are not a company, we are a cooperative.
People own a stake in the awesome things they build.
How are we different?
- We enable royalties for creating tech
Musicians are paid everytime a song is played. Imagine if they only got
paid for the hours it took to record a song. Tech employees are paid
hourly, and the company they work for keeps all future revenue. This
doesn't make sense. We share our on-going revenue with the people who
create value for our users.
- Kickstarter for Tech
We are not a top-down company. We are a bottom-up cooperative. Anyone
can pledge support for new apps; or to add features to existing apps.
This creates dynamic products.
- Token-sourced instead of open-source
Open-source software allows anyone to contribute code. But, it's free.
We are token-sourced. We charge businesses and consumers to use
community created code, and we share the revenue with the contributors.
- Ads are not our business model.
Ads provide about $5 / user / month to big tech companies. We are
funded by our users. This provides a much better user experience because
we serve the users, not the advertisers.
- The AirBnb or Uber of Tech.
Our goal is to be the biggest tech company, without tech employees. Our
members are not employees, they are owners. We pay builders a percentage
of on-going revenue. We pay sales a referal fee based on revenue they
generate. This makes our cost-structure efficient. It enables us to
provide better products.
How we accelerate businesses
-
Most businesses want working software and struggle to make that happen.
-
They have two options:
- Build it themselves by hiring or outsourcing developers.
- Buy multiple SaaS solutions and stitch them together.
-
We enable businesses to get working software faster by leveraging our
platform plus community. We get results fast due to our pluggable
architecture with pre-built components.
-
We provide high-value custom solutions tailored to their specific needs
through our shared-ownership model. Instead of paying a large sum
up-front, we pay our builders a percentage of on-going revenue. This
creates an incentive for the solutions to succeed, and allows businesses
to pay over-time based on the value received.
We are writing new rules
- Not based on the world we are given
- But to shape the world we leave behind
